What is the 3D file?
The 3D file extension can be associated with several types of files. Most often, however, a file with such an extension is associated with the Survex 3D Cavern Format format. 3D files are supported by Linux, Mac OS, Windows operating systems. The 3D file is one of the GIS Files files, just like 255 of the other files found in our file information database. The creator of Survex 3D Cavern Format is The Survex Project.
A program that can open the 3D file is e.g. Survex. However, you can also use other applications, e.g. Therion, VersaCAD, ACDSee Photo Manager, Actify DesignShare.

How to open a .3D file?
If you have problems opening the file 3D, then in most cases the problem is only the lack of the proper application installed. Select one of the programs from the list and install it on your device. The operating system should automatically associate the 3D file format with the installed program. If not, right click on your 3D file and select from the menu "Open with" . Then select the installed program and confirm the operation. Now all 3D files should automatically open with the selected program.
