What is the A2L file?
The A2L file extension can be associated with several types of files. Most often, however, a file with such an extension is associated with the ASAP2 ECU Description Format format. A2L files are supported by Windows operating systems. The A2L file is one of the CAD Files files, just like 158 of the other files found in our file information database. The creator of ASAP2 ECU Description Format is ASAM MCD-2MC.
A program that can open the A2L file is e.g. AVL CRETA Calibration Data Management. However, you can also use other applications, e.g. ASAP2 Editor, HEXplorer, ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit.

How to open a .A2L file?
If you have problems opening the file A2L, then in most cases the problem is only the lack of the proper application installed. Select one of the programs from the list and install it on your device. The operating system should automatically associate the A2L file format with the installed program. If not, right click on your A2L file and select from the menu "Open with" . Then select the installed program and confirm the operation. Now all A2L files should automatically open with the selected program.
