What is the AB1 file?
The AB1 file extension can be associated with several types of files. Most often, however, a file with such an extension is associated with the DNA Electropherogram Format format. AB1 files are supported by Mac OS, Windows operating systems. The AB1 file is one of the Data Files files, just like 1326 of the other files found in our file information database.
A program that can open the AB1 file is e.g. SnapGene. This software was released by GSL Biotech. However, you can also use other applications, e.g. BioEdit, ChromasPro, DNA Baser, Chromas Lite.

How to open a .AB1 file?
If you have problems opening the file AB1, then in most cases the problem is only the lack of the proper application installed. Select one of the programs from the list and install it on your device. The operating system should automatically associate the AB1 file format with the installed program. If not, right click on your AB1 file and select from the menu "Open with" . Then select the installed program and confirm the operation. Now all AB1 files should automatically open with the selected program.
