What is the DT1 file?
The DT1 file extension can be associated with several types of files. Most often, however, a file with such an extension is associated with the DTED Level 1 Format format. DT1 files are supported by Linux, Windows operating systems. The DT1 file is one of the GIS Files files, just like 255 of the other files found in our file information database. The creator of DTED Level 1 Format is National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
A program that can open the DT1 file is e.g. FME Desktop. This software was released by Safe Software Inc.. However, you can also use other applications, e.g. ArcGIS Desktop, MapInfo.

How to open a .DT1 file?
If you have problems opening the file DT1, then in most cases the problem is only the lack of the proper application installed. Select one of the programs from the list and install it on your device. The operating system should automatically associate the DT1 file format with the installed program. If not, right click on your DT1 file and select from the menu "Open with" . Then select the installed program and confirm the operation. Now all DT1 files should automatically open with the selected program.
