What is the J2C file?
The J2C file extension can be associated with several types of files. Most often, however, a file with such an extension is associated with the JPEG 2000 Code Stream format. J2C files are supported by Linux, Mac OS, Windows operating systems. The J2C file is one of the Raster Image Files files, just like 522 of the other files found in our file information database. The creator of JPEG 2000 Code Stream is Joint Photographic Experts Group.
A program that can open the J2C file is e.g. Converter Pro. However, you can also use other applications, e.g. Adobe Photoshop, PaintShop Pro, ImageMagick, IvanView.

How to open a .J2C file?
If you have problems opening the file J2C, then in most cases the problem is only the lack of the proper application installed. Select one of the programs from the list and install it on your device. The operating system should automatically associate the J2C file format with the installed program. If not, right click on your J2C file and select from the menu "Open with" . Then select the installed program and confirm the operation. Now all J2C files should automatically open with the selected program.
