What is the RIB file?
The RIB file extension can be associated with several types of files. Most often, however, a file with such an extension is associated with the Renderman Interface Bytestream 3D Graphics Data Format format. RIB files are supported by Windows operating systems. The RIB file is one of the 3D Image Files files, just like 622 of the other files found in our file information database.
A program that can open the RIB file is e.g. RenderMan. This software was released by Pixar. However, you can also use other applications, e.g. PolyTrans|CAD+DCC.
