What is the SAVE file?
The SAVE file extension can be associated with several types of files. Most often, however, a file with such an extension is associated with the Nano Temporary Save Format format. SAVE files are supported by Linux, Windows operating systems. The SAVE file is one of the Text Files files, just like 440 of the other files found in our file information database. The creator of Nano Temporary Save Format is Nano.
A program that can open the SAVE file is e.g. GNU Nano. This software was released by GNU Project. However, you can also use other applications, e.g. Wolfenstein, Doom 3, Quake 4, Prey.

How to open a .SAVE file?
If you have problems opening the file SAVE, then in most cases the problem is only the lack of the proper application installed. Select one of the programs from the list and install it on your device. The operating system should automatically associate the SAVE file format with the installed program. If not, right click on your SAVE file and select from the menu "Open with" . Then select the installed program and confirm the operation. Now all SAVE files should automatically open with the selected program.
