What is the XQY file?
The XQY file extension can be associated with several types of files. Most often, however, a file with such an extension is associated with the XQuery Source Format format. XQY files are supported by Mac OS, Windows operating systems. The XQY file is one of the Developer Files files, just like 1205 of the other files found in our file information database. The creator of XQuery Source Format is The W3C XML Query Working Group.
A program that can open the XQY file is e.g. TextMate. This software was released by MacroMates Ltd.. However, you can also use other applications, e.g. Microsoft XML Notepad, XMLSpy, Stylus Studio.

How to open a .XQY file?
If you have problems opening the file XQY, then in most cases the problem is only the lack of the proper application installed. Select one of the programs from the list and install it on your device. The operating system should automatically associate the XQY file format with the installed program. If not, right click on your XQY file and select from the menu "Open with" . Then select the installed program and confirm the operation. Now all XQY files should automatically open with the selected program.
