What is the M4U file?
The M4U file extension can be associated with several types of files. Most often, however, a file with such an extension is associated with the MPEG-4 Playlist format. M4U files are supported by Mac OS, Windows operating systems. The M4U file is one of the Video Files files, just like 546 of the other files found in our file information database.
A program that can open the M4U file is e.g. Video player. However, you can also use other applications, e.g. QuickTime Player.

How to open a .M4U file?
If you have problems opening the file M4U, then in most cases the problem is only the lack of the proper application installed. Select one of the programs from the list and install it on your device. The operating system should automatically associate the M4U file format with the installed program. If not, right click on your M4U file and select from the menu "Open with" . Then select the installed program and confirm the operation. Now all M4U files should automatically open with the selected program.
